The only thing I would say it needs is a "project file" concept or relative file paths to a project folder. PCB layout is intuitive and has a decent design rule checker. Schematic drawings are fast to make and update. dxf drawing and I can make a PCB out of it that fits perfectly in the mechanical housing. The 3D model support (.STEP) is essential when working with a mechanical design team. Making iterative changes through a product life cycle is very simple and saves a lot of time. Library management is easy to use and making custom patterns and components is a breeze. Their forum is very responsive and have great customer support. You can import components and patterns from most major PCB layout software as well. Any upgrade fee you may have to pay for a new version is very reasonable and far from full price. You don't have to pay for any add-ons to make it useful or pay a yearly subscription for anything. It's easy to use, feature rich, and a great price. I have been using Diptrace for a few years now professionally.
